What is RUNMND?
I would like to expand on our reason why we sponsor RUNMND.
You see my husband Wade Keys was the founder & Director of Cash Inn Revesby. Wade lost his battle with MND in November 2018 at the age of 39 years…
It was 5 years ago when our normal, happy lives were shattered into a million pieces with a single diagnosis… Wade was told he had Motor Neurone Disease.
Words can’t explain the devastation and helplessness we felt when Wade began to deteriorate before my eyes. Wade was losing the ability to do the simple things like walking along the beach, holding my hand, kissing me and the kids good night & being unable to say “I love you”… the disease progressively shut down Wades ability to function at all until finally he drew his last breath and was at peace.
The pain MND causes to those diagnosed, their family & their friends is so devastatingly horrific I can’t bear the thought of one more family having to endure what we have been through.
We must find a cure, we need to beat this beast that is MND.
